How verification works.
MassageGods verifies every practitioner before they go live — here's exactly what that means, and what's optional.
ID verification — required for everyone
- Every practitioner must complete ID verification before their profile can go live. This confirms you are who you say you are — a government-issued ID check plus a quick selfie match, done through a secure third-party verification provider.
- Takes a few minutes. You'll see a Verified badge on your profile once it's complete — this badge appears on every live practitioner, regardless of subscription tier.
- We do not store your ID documents ourselves — verification is handled entirely by our identity verification partner.
Credential review — optional
- If you hold formal massage therapy qualifications, insurance, or want to showcase your workspace, you can upload these for review.
- This is entirely optional. Practitioners working in relaxation and wellness-focused massage are not required to hold formal credentials to join MassageGods.
- If you do upload credentials and they're approved, you'll receive a separate Credentialed badge on your profile — a distinct trust signal from the ID Verified badge, shown to clients who value it.
- Review typically takes up to 48 hours.
What happens after
- Once ID verification is complete (and credential review, if you chose it), your application moves to manual review by our team.
- You'll be notified by email once your profile is approved and live.
